We’re sad to say it’s our last full day here in Mexico! After a rainy day Wednesday, God blessed us with a beautiful sunset and we were able to finish off our time of ministry today with clear skies. Thank you so much for praying with us for good weather… we’ve been able to accomplish so much and really bless the people of Ensenada!

We kicked off our morning with some games! Then we headed out for our last day of ministry…

Two groups joined forces to help finish the projects at Pastor Jaime’s church. With beautiful weather and many hands to help, our teams were able to finish with time to play a little jump rope and hang out with the kids! The Soup Kitchen now has an outdoor patio roof for the children to meet and play under and the sanctuary has a newly sheet rocked ceiling.

Another team spent the day ministering to the community around the soup kitchen. After spending some time in prayer asking the Lord how to best bless the community, they decided to hand out bags of rice and beans and pray for people they encountered! The team was able to bless and encourage several families who were going through had times financially. Here is part of the team in front of a wall in the community that says “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” Hebrews 16:31

One of our teams spend the day at a Women and Children rescue center called “Hope House”. They had a blast spending time with the precious children. They made bracelets, played games, sang worship songs, and taught Bible stories!

Out at the Durango Children at Risk ministry, our team put the finishing touches on the new bathroom and shower. The women at the church were so appreciative of our team’s work. They prepared our team a feast of fried chicken and potatoes! It was such a humbling experience to receive the special meal from those we came to serve!

One of our groups spent the day at an orphanage called “Reino De Los Niños”. The team was so hard at work pulling weeds and playing soccer with the kids that they forgot to take photos!

Tonight we are finishing off our last full day with a time of baptisms! Over 12 students have made decisions to rededicate their lives to the Lord and we’re going take this opportunity to baptize them in the Pacific Ocean. Please continue to pray with us that God would go before us and protect our team as they made their way back to Modesto tomorrow. We plan to head out at 4:30 AM!

¡Hasta mañana! (until tomorrow!)
