Today was our first full day in Ensenada. And it was full. But before we talk about today, you need to hear about Saturday night. The theme that YWAM has decided for the week is “I Am”. It is all about who God has made us to be and who He is. Our speaker, Brandon, started off the week letting the students know that they were made in the image of God and because of that, they have value. Brandon has a great way of bringing us in by telling engaging stories then bringing the point home. I cannot wait to hear what the Lord has to say through him this week. As these blogs progress, I will let you know what we talk about in the sessions so you know how you can engage in conversation with the students who went on the trip.

Today our four different teams split up and went out all across Ensenada to worship in the local churches. Our students actively participated during the services through sharing their testimonies and doing an interactive story with the children at the churches. I was only in one location, but I believe with all my heart that the kids impacted the people they interacted with.

Tomorrow starts our work site jobs! We have two teams building houses. Each house is for a single mom. The two remaining teams will be doing special projects at a home for abandoned men with special needs and a home for at risk teenage girls. Please be praying for our students as they begin serving this community.

God Bless!
