INTRODUCING

For the first time ever, all of our children’s and youth ministries will meet on the same night of the week Wednesdays! While each ministry will still meet in their own spaces, we’re aligning schedules to serve families better and create more powerful moments of discipleship.

WHY IS THIS SO EXCITING?

✅ One Night, All Ages
No more juggling multiple weeknights! Whether you’ve got kids in Midweek or students in Jr. High and High School, now everything happens on Wednesday nights.

✅ Aligned for a Purpose
We’re creating a consistent night dedicated to the spiritual growth of the next generation—from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

✅ A Chance to Serve
While your kids are in programming, it’s the perfect time to jump in and serve. Help shape the next generation while building community yourself!

FAQs

Why Wednesdays?

Our desire is to complement the schedules of extra-curricular activities, not interfere with them. Wednesday nights allow the least amount of conflict with many of the sports and extra-curricular programs our youth are involved in.

Will all the kids be together?
No, each ministry will continue to run in their designated areas, as before. There may be times when we try to bring all of Next Gen together, but those will be special events.
Why is there a staggered start date between the ministries?
Midweek has traditionally followed the Cove Groups calendar, while Middle School and High School have followed their own. As we pilot and refine Next Gen Night, minor changes will be introduced to bring greater ministry calendar alignment in the future.
Is there a registration cost?

Midweek will continue to have a registration fee, as usual. Middle School and High School will continue to not have a fee.

Are there any adult programs happening at the church during Next Gen Night?

No. For the safety and security of our children, no adult ministries will be meeting on campus on Wednesday nights.

Can I stay at the church and wait while the program is happening?
For the safety and security of our children, all adults who are not actively volunteering in Midweek, Middle School, or High School, will be asked to exit the building while these programs meet.
Is childcare provided?

At this time, the Next Gen program is for kids in Kindergarten through 12th grades, only. We do not have childcare available for Cove Kids younger than Kindergarten.
