In Psalm 91:1-2, the author “dwells in the shelter of the Most High” and is able to “abide in the shadow of the Almighty”, because he has placed his trust in God. And then we see the Lord’s response to the author’s trust is to protect. Verse 14 says, “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name.” No matter what you are going through in life, if life seems to be going well or it is full of difficulty, you, too, can experience the peace of God’s protection over you when you place your trust in Him. When you seek God in prayer today, spend time acknowledging His power, praising Him, and asking Him to help you trust in Him through all of life’s seasons. God’s Word promises that those who call upon His name and place their trust in Him will experience the peace that only He can provide. |
