“Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” Psalm 139:23-24
It’s important to look at our relationship with Jesus, taking time often to examine the depths of our hearts for anything that keeps us from the fullness of a right relationship with Jesus. And, to have the courage to face whatever we find so that we can grow even stronger in our walk with Him.
In our quiet time with the Lord today, let’s carefully examine our motives and ways of living through the lens of God’s Word. As a follower of Christ, does your life reflect the example of Jesus? During your time in God’s Word and in prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to show you any areas of sin that need to be overcome so that you can grow in your obedience and walk with Him.
