To learn we must be taught, and to be taught we must be teachable. Think of the child who says “Teach me!”, but then allows distraction to get in the way, or fails to apply and practice the lessons. Does the child learn? No. At least, not consistently and not as deeply as they might have, and misses out on truly rewarding knowledge.

For Christ-followers, a teachable heart desires to not only know God and His Word, but to sit at the feet of the Master soaking up every drop of wisdom and knowledge that it can possibly hold.

Today we’re praying for God to humble our hearts, that we would be truly teachable with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge as we eagerly seek Him.
