Today we focus our prayer time for those who are in a season of grief. We all know someone–or perhaps it’s ourselves–who is burdened by the pain and grief of an illness, loss, or other deep hurt of some kind. In those times when it seems like the grief is so great that we have nothing to offer, prayer is indispensable. The believer can trust the words of Psalm 73:26: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Today we lift up those who are suffering through a season of grief. We pray for healing over physical afflictions, peace and comfort in loss, and restoration for the broken hearted. Spend some time praying for those in your life who are suffering, and ask God to show you ways to practically love them.
