There are countless Christians around the world who are persecuted regularly for their faith. For many, this goes beyond the discomfort of verbal attacks and is rooted in violence. Our focus for prayer today is a heavy one but one which is vitally important in the Christian community. When we stand in the gap, interceding on their behalf, we reflect God’s love for them and it gives us a chance to share their burdens.

Today, we pray for those in the midst of persecution, that they would remain faithful to the calling God has placed on them. We pray for the ones who are persecuting them. We pray for the families of those being persecuted. We pray that in the midst of persecution lives would still be changed, hearts softened, and souls won.
